  • Customised QR codes

Although easily recognisable, standard QR codes can be an ugly part of product labelling or your design. We can make your QR code with colour and logos to better match your brand image.

If you have a good designer, they can modify the QR codes for you. However, this is often expensive, and sometimes, they can inadvertently damage the actual QR code so that it won’t scan.

We have dedicated designers that can provide custom QR code designs for you.

    This product includes;

    • a static or dynamic QR code (see below for the difference between static and dynamic)
    • QR code images design in 3 formats (png, svg and pdf)

In the comments box on the checkout page, tell us about your company’s brand and how you will be using the QR code. Let us know the colours you want. Email us your logo as a png or jpeg file. Then our designers can create a custom QR code for you.

    Price $60

Any extra design time is charged at $20 per hour.

This example shows the same QR code in customised (left) and original (right) versions.

    qr code 15qr code 14

The changes we can make to a QR code are limited, as the overriding aim is to maintain its ability to be scanned. We can introduce two colours (with gradients), add a custom logo to the centre, and alter the QR code’s foreground elements.

For all customization options, see here.

    Call to Action

We can add a Call to Action such as ‘Call Us’, “Order Now’, ‘Socials’ or “Book Now’.

    Dynamic or Static

    DYNAMIC QR Codes

Unlimited scans: Scans of the Dynamic QR Code are UNLIMITED so long as you don’t abuse the QR code with millions of scans that cause technical problems such as crashed servers. Please see our Fair Use policy.

Functions for life: It will function for two years. If you still need it after two years, you can extend it for a hosting fee for another two years.

FREE unlimited redirection of the target URL: You can redirect the target URL as often as you want via our customer portal.

Lifetime tracking: You can purchase unlimited lifetime TRACKING REPORTS for a one-time fee. One purchase covers unlimited codes.

    STATIC QR Codes
Encode your URL directly in the QR code permanently. Static QR codes can also encode text, v business cards, or send email, WhatsApp, or SMS messages.

Unlimited scans: unlimited scans to the URL you encode at the time of order.

Functions for life: static QR codes will work as long as your website URL doesn’t change.

NO redirection is possible: Static QR codes can’t be changed as the URL is encoded directly in the QR Code.

Tracking Service unavailable: We cannot track static QR codes. You can maybe track yourself using your Google Analytics.

  • Pallet BarcodesPallets

When you ship products by pallet, you use pallet barcodes on the packaging. If you don’t ship by pallet, you might not need those barcodes—instead, you may require an ITF‑14 barcode for your cartons.

Larger retailers frequently require pallet barcodes—especially supermarkets or any company operating large distribution centers, such as McDonald’s.

Typically, you apply two types of barcodes to each pallet: a GS1‑128 barcode and an SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code).

Sometimes you may need a new SSCC for a new pallet code, as you already have the GS128 barcode for that stock.

The GS128 barcode encodes multiple data, such as a product’s expiry dates, batch number, quantity, and EAN or UPC number.

The SSCC barcode is a unique number. Retailers use the SSCC to identify each pallet in their distribution centre or warehouse.

Images below show examples of GS128 (top) and SSCC (bottom)

Work out how many you need. Purchase the quantity you want. Let us know what infomation you want encoded including the barcode and carton number if requited. Email us this information or use this online form to input the data you want to be encoded. Once you have provided the required information, we will send the barcode images to you in 3 formats (png, svg and pdf formats). We can provide additional formats upon request.

    Application Identifiers (AI)

GS1 Application Identifiers (AIs) are numeric prefixes used in barcodes and EPC/RFID tags to define the meaning and format of encoded data elements.

Some of the most commonly used  AIs are:

    00 – SSCC

    01 – GTIN

    10 – Batch number

    17 – Expiry date

37 – Number of Units (Count)

    Buy QR Code

This service is automated so that you can buy a QR Code and receive your QR code images in minutes. We need the URL or other information you wish encoded into the QR code to do this. Automation cannot make the QR code if you don’t supply it.

*What’s the difference between static and dynamic QR codes

We supply TWO types of QR codesstatic and dynamic. Please watch our short video explainer showing the difference between static and dynamic QR codes.

STATIC QR CODES DYNAMIC QR CODES
    Encodes your URL directly
The QR code contains your URL inside the code itself.
    Redirect-based QR
The QR code points to a hosted redirect, so the target URL can be updated later.
    Fixed destination
Works as long as the original URL stays live (you can’t change where it goes).
    Updatable destination
Update the target URL as often as needed in the future (ideal for listings that change).
    Unlimited scans
    No scan limits.
    Unlimited scans (fair use)
Unlimited unless the QR code is abused with extremely high scan volumes that cause technical issues.
    See our Fair Use Policy.
    No hosted management
There’s no portal-based redirection because the URL is permanent in the code.
Free unlimited 24/7 redirection (via our customer portal)
On purchase you set a target URL, then make unlimited redirects through our portal.
    No tracking
Static QR codes typically don’t provide scan analytics.
    Tracking available (2 years)
Get tracking reports such as frequency, time of day, most popular day, and country.
Works as long as your URL works
If the page is removed or changed, the QR code will lead to an error.
    Functions for life (with renewals)
Includes 2 years, and continues after that as long as a hosting fee is paid every two years.

    Printing Tips for QR Codes

    • Ensure lots of contrast. The optimum is black and white. Please watch our short video on colour.
    • Avoid highly reflective labels.
    • Spend some time deciding where to place the QR code.
    • Check the size before printing (remember the bigger the QR code, the further away the person scanning needs to stand)
    • Test, test, test your QR code before the final print. We recommend testing on different phones.
