Barcode Artwork for Products
Barcodes are usually the ugliest part of product labelling. It is possible to transform barcodes from being purely functional to integrate with your product design. Barcode artwork for products can enhance your brand image. If you have a good designer, they can modify the barcode for you. However, this is often expensive, and sometimes they damage the actual barcode, so it won’t scan well. We have dedicated designers that can provide barcode artwork for you. You need to purchase the barcode number first and then tell us about your company and products and what you have in mind. Then our designers can create a barcode artwork design for you.
We recommend using dark bars (e.g., black, dark blue) on a light background, avoiding red hues due to scanner limitations. Use vector graphics over raster formats to preserve quality across various sizes. Before finalising your design, consider obtaining an interim barcode verification report to identify potential issues early in the process. This proactive step can prevent costly mistakes and ensure your barcode meets industry standards. There still needs to be a significant height of bars in order for stores to accept the barcodes. Ideally the bars should still be 18mm tall or thereabouts.
